The emotional rollercoaster
Texas fans’ misery during the game, every 15 minutes. Up is worse.
What happened
Texas beat Ohio State 24-23 and moved to 2-0, and somehow the mood got worse. The turning point was the scramble for loose footballs, two of which Ohio State came up with, and which one fan called "so fucking infuriating" — close enough to flip the thing that nobody could enjoy the margin. Another fixated on the halftime ceremony, "they held up Sark at halftime to jerk Day off." Undefeated, aggrieved, and already drafting the complaint. A one-point win counts the same and feels like nothing.
