What happened
Oregon spent Saturday dismantling Portland State 84-0, which sounds like therapy and functioned more like anesthesia. The turning point came early, when the outcome stopped being in doubt and the afternoon turned into a long scrimmage against an FCS roster nobody wanted to watch suffer. At 2-1, the fanbase got no new information about the team that actually matters, and said so: "& yet zero questions were answered." One fan, displaced from his usual seat, summed it up: "our soul just died." Misery fell. Nothing was resolved.
