They won by eight and still walked away certain both teams were unwatchable and the flags self-inflicted.
The emotional rollercoaster
Louisville fans’ misery during the game, every 15 minutes. Up is worse.
What happened
Louisville won at Syracuse, 34-26, and somehow the fanbase came out of it feeling worse than it did a week ago. The turning point wasn't a play so much as a pattern: flags, and always the wrong ones at the wrong moment. "Fucking dumb penalties striking at the worst time," one fan wrote, which doubles as a season summary. Another watched the whole thing and concluded "both teams are genuinely awful." Four and three, and the misery index climbed anyway. Winning used to help.
