A 3-39 flattening left the room past booing, debating whether the coach should be allowed back at all.
The emotional rollercoaster
Iowa State fans’ misery during the game, every 15 minutes. Up is worse.
What happened
Iowa State went to Arizona and came home with a 3-39 loss, which is less a football score than a receipt. The Cyclones are 3-4 now, and the arithmetic on the rest of the season is not kind. The turning point wasn't on the field anyway; it was the postgame invocation of a certain coaching legacy, which one fan called "disgusting and embarrassing." Another kept it simpler: "Oh no we suck again. So tired of this team." Three points can be survived. The rest lingers.

“Why did we stick with Raynor so long then? Kind of feels like money and backroom promises were the deciding factor.”
