What happened
Florida State came off a bye and fell to Clemson 36-24, dropping to 3-5. The turning point came after the Seminoles clawed back with consecutive touchdowns, only for the defense to let Clemson's quarterback convert a third-and-12 that one fan summed up as "That's FSU folks." Others noted the team had a "bye week to prepare for this game" and still made an "absolutely awful Clemson offense look otherworldly." The verdict settled somewhere between rage and numbness: "We're not a serious football program." The scoreboard offered no rebuttal.
