The bigger Bronco ate the smaller Bronco, and Boise State's room finally exhaled after last week's bruise.

What happened

A week after the misery index sat in the 60s, Boise State went to Kalamazoo and solved the Bronco-on-Bronco identity crisis 32-7, pushing the record to 3-1. The turning point was the trip itself: a road game against a mirror-image mascot that could have been a trap, and instead was a formality. As one fan put it, "The bigger Bronco simply swallowed the smaller Bronco." Another settled the mascot debate outright. Nothing heals a fanbase like beating a slightly smaller version of itself.
