What happened

Auburn opened 1-0 and nobody on the message boards seemed relieved about it. A 17-16 win over Baylor was the kind of victory that gets survived rather than enjoyed, decided by a single point that could have gone the other way on any given snap. One fan tried to place it historically: the Tuberville and Malzahn years were the "Cardiac Cats," the recent ones "just stupid and bad," so "what are we? Ugly Heart Attacks?" Others settled for the baseline comfort of not being coached by Hugh Freeze anymore. A win is a win, and this one barely was.
