Misery Index · Miserable
A 55-point mauling left the room split between diagnosing Dilly's decisions and just cursing the whole thing.
The emotional rollercoaster
Arizona State fans’ misery during the game, every 15 minutes. Up is worse.
What happened
Baylor came to Tempe and left with a 55-19 win, dropping Arizona State to 2-2 and turning a promising September into something murkier. The turning point was less a single play than the moment the defense stopped resisting, when a competitive afternoon quietly became a long one. Fans spent the second half dissecting the quarterback, one noting Dilly "needs to be more comfortable into making uncomfortable decisions." Another skipped the analysis entirely: "God damn this team fucking sucks." Both takes fit.
