What happened
Arkansas beat North Alabama 31-14 and moved to 1-0, which in most places would pass for a pleasant Saturday. Not here. The turning point wasn't a play but the moment the scoreboard stopped mattering and the eye test took over, somewhere in the second half, when it became clear what the rest of the schedule would do to this team. The top post in the fan thread was a man lighting a cigarette to announce, "This season is gonna hurt, fellas." Another simply called it "a long fuckin' year." Undefeated and already grieving.
